About SEIU
Since our founding days in 1921 when building janitors in the U.S. formed the Building Service Employees International Union, workers from a diversity of industries, sectors, countries and cultural backgrounds have made SEIU their own.
A large proportion of SEIU Canada members work in health care
services, including home care, nursing homes, retirement homes, hospitals and emergency services.
SEIU members also work as janitors, group home workers, mutual clerks at race tracks, counselors at woman's shelters, groundskeepers at cemeteries and golf courses, and many other jobs in manufacturing, building maintenance, food and laundry services, social services, education, gaming and the travel industry.
We are proud of our SEIU family.
We are Stronger Together.
